Join us for an AKC Fit Dog Walk & Happy Hour in South Miami!
We’re excited that Happy with Dogs is joining us at our Sip & Stroll! Happy with Dogs, an AKC Fit Dog Club and local dog training company, will lead an πππ π π’π ππ¨π πͺππ₯π€ in South Miami on June 8 with us! Walking is a safe activity that improves muscular strength, circulation, memory and weight loss, increases energy, helps with sleep, and reduces stress. The Fit Dog Walk will be a part of our monthly Sip & Stroll every second Thursday this summer through December!β£

The AKC Fit Dog Walk will be 1 mile. We can walk as slowly as needed; special needs dogs can walk shorter distances with veterinarian approval. Best of all, this walk can count towards your AKC Fit dog titles! The walk is free as always! β£
We typically walk one mile on our Sip & Strolls, but anyone who needs to go back early certainly can. We look forward to walking together and enjoying delicious food, drinks, and great company at Town Kitchen & Bar after.β£
How it works:β£β£
We’ll meet in front of Town at 6 pm, start our walk around the neighborhood by 6:15, then cheers to a walk well done at Town! Please bring water for your pups during the walk.β£β£ Please RSVP by emailing us at events@equipawspetservices.com, or join our Meetup group here.Β

ππ’π¦π: Meet up starting at 6 PM. 6:15 stroll followed by yummy drinks and food. Town Kitchen & Bar has kindly extended their happy hour for us until 9:00 PM! π₯³β Let us know if you plan to stay after to enjoy cocktails and small bites (or dinner!). We need to RSVP for Town to set up our area.β£β£β£

Please feel free to come by whenever works best for you. We might already be on our walk by 6:15/30, so you can wait for us to return at the reserved tables or try to join us on the walk. We do our best to check our messages right up until the start of the walk and will try to share the route so you can join in.β£β£ We’ve also included a tentative map of the route and will do our best to adhere to it.
Dogs in strollers and wheelchairs are welcome- no need to finish the walk. You can always take breaks!β£β£ Please only use retractable leads if strictly necessary and if youβre committed to being careful- there have been some leash mishaps in the past. And bring water for your pups during the walk- thank you!β£β£
This is rain or shine. There’s parking on the street and a parking garage next to the restaurant. Be sure to pay for on-street parking, as South Miami is very strict about parking!
The tentative route:
A founding member of the Equipaws family, Frankie can mostly be found working behind the scenes, helping co-create online branding, managing several social media accounts, designing brand collateral, writing copy, and managing events. She also fills in for pet sitters and dog walkers when needed in Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, and South Miami. Her own small pack consists of Boots the Shih Tzu mix and Nutmeg the Chiweenie.
