Looking for the right pet sitting services in Miami? The process can difficult with so much at stake (your pets are your family, after all), which is why we want you to know exactly how Equipaws Pet Services works. If we had to sum up our approach in one sentence, it would be that we believe the magic is in the details. It’s the little things that make life special, and that also keep your pets fit, healthy, and happy- from the right amount of food, to the perfect place to scratch your kitty… It’s important to find the perfect fit for your family and your pets. Read on about how we might be the pet sitting service for you!
Our devotion to your home and pets’ details begins with our first complimentary meeting, where we get to know you, your pets, and your home in depth. From where Sashaâs towel is kept (for those rainy day walks) and where kitty has her toys and hiding spots, to where the water main shut-off valve is located, we ask questions in order to be prepared for everything and anything. It’s part of the way we offer our clients the smoothest, most dependable experience possible.
PERSONALIZED SERVICE. We are sensitive to your cat or dogâs diet, habits, and personality. Much like people, we truly believe all pets are different â we have lots of experience and have seen it firsthand! Mitzi, for example, loves to eat laying on her tummy, and who’s to tell her otherwise? Our aim is to act as your surrogate while you are gone â this holds true for either pet sits or midday walks. We want your pet to know it has a new friend, but one who knows exactly how mommy and/or daddy do things for them:
- from where they like to be pet
- what kind of snacks and when
- how to call out to them upon entering the home
- Should Fido be walked or run?
- How often should we visit?
- What times work best for the pet and pet parents?
At our meet and greet, we also assess the appropriate level of activity for your pets and work with you to formulate the best regimen for them, including preferred bracket of time for our visit. Please allow up to 60 minutes for this meeting; we will also collect your 3 (three) keys at this time. Also, to ensure your petâs safety and well-being, and as is mandated by our insurance coverage, we require a minimum of 1 visit per day for cats and 2 visits per day for dogs during the duration of your pet sitting service. Read more in our FAQ section for details on cancellation policies, holiday policies, and more.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Moreover, we like to know where you put your mail when you get in, what lights are left on for your pup or kitty, what cleaning products are used and where they are kept, where to locate other pertinent items (including emergency items such as flashlights), and who your handyman is. This is so that we may best care for your home while you are away.
COMMUNICATION. Communication is key. We maintain contact, from being available via social media, email, or text to contacting you immediately in the event anything out of the ordinary should happen. We want you to rest assured that we have things under control while you are away.
The detail that our clients love to rave about is our pet log! Each pet sitting visit has a check-off list that your pet sitter completes at the end of their visit. Our pet sitters leave detailed accounts of how their visit went, from fun details to behavioral patterns they notice. Our dog walking and running clients receive a notebook in which our walkers and runners leave notes with important information, such as stool consistency and quality of leash walking. We believe that this creates a further bond between our employees and the clients they service and adds a level of warmth and familiarity that has made all of our clients feel good about their surrogate while they are spending a long day at the office or off on their business (or pleasure!) trip.
A sense of peace and security is what we like to offer our pet parents, and we believe that through these small details, we hit our mark. We are happy to report that our clients feel the same way!
