was born and raised in beautiful Miami, Florida and shares her life with Joey, an adorable mixed terrier who loves naps and treats! Ever since she was a child, Miranda has had a deep love for animals and furry friends of all types, which has inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Miranda is a 2026 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and is currently applying to veterinary school with the goal of becoming a veterinarian.
Through her experiences working with and caring for animals, Miranda has developed a strong passion for pet care and strengthening the bond between humans and their animal companions. Her goal is to provide compassionate, high-quality care while helping pets and their people better understand one another to support the best possible quality of life. In her time at UF, she spent time volunteering at the UF Small Animal Hospital and the UF Sheep Unit, where she was able to build connections with many animals and better understand their wellness needs and how to provide the best care, as well as build perspective on the many ways in which the field can vary day to day. In her free time, Miranda enjoys listening to music, playing the ukulele, spending time with loved ones, and dancing.
Fun fact: she has trained in multiple styles of dance since she was three years old! She is excited to continue building relationships with every furry friend she meets and the best care with Equipaws!
