Meet Katelyn, a Miami native and FIU student eager to love and care for any animal that comes her way! Growing up with a large Cuban family, sheâs always been surrounded by community, compassion, and plenty of animals. She currently has 4 dogs of her own: Bella the Yorkie, Papi the Chiweenie, and their children, Kion and Nene, whom Katelyn convinced her parents to keep through a PowerPoint presentation in elementary school. Sheâs also the go-to pet sitter for all of her familyâs fur babies – a role she holds dear to her heart. When she isnât feeding stray cats or cuddling pets at parties, sheâs in class or at the library completing her pre-law studies. Katelyn aspires to be a civil rights and/or animal rights attorney, dedicated to representing and protecting vulnerable populations. She is excited to care for the babies of Coral Gables, South Miami, and Coconut Grove!
