The 31st Annual South Miami Rotary Art Festival is Dog Friendly!
We’re excited to announce our participation in a very cool, dog-friendly art festival in South Miami. Our friends from the Rotary Club of South Miami are proud presenters of the 31st annual art festival this Saturday and Sunday, February 22-23! We will be providing doggy valet services for the art festival all weekend, from 10 AM to 6 PM. Bring your well-behaved dogs over on their cutest leashes to our Doggy Valet Tent, and we’ll care for them Equipaws Pets-style! They’ll cool down under our tent, refresh themselves with ice-cold water, enjoy a treat or two (with your permission, of course!), and have cuddles, TLC, and plenty of socializing with other pups until you pick them up.
South Miami Rotary Art Festival: Dog Friendly and Fun!
We love South Miami for its small-town feel, yet cosmopolitan flair (there are great little restaurants and boutiques to suit every taste). The South Miami Rotary Art Festival is taking place in the downtown area of South Miami, on Sunset Drive (or SW 72 street), closing off the beautiful street from US 1 to Red Road (SW 57 Ave).
Our pet sitters Flavia and Frankie grew up around South Miami (they went to Epiphany School and Lourdes Academy), and are very excited to volunteer as the Doggy Valet! The area is filled with historic buildings, restaurants and unique shops. South Miami is three miles south of Miami’s Coconut Grove, and borders the University of Miami and the beautiful neighborhoods of Coral Gables and Pinecrest (where you will find many of our dog sitters and runners, coincidentally!).
Admission is free, with parking on the street and in the Shops at Sunset Place garage. You can look forward to over 150 artists, a food court, live music, and a beer garden (no beer for the pups, though!).
For online or GPS directions search for 5750 SW 72 St., South Miami, FL 33143. You can reach them at info@southmiamiartfest.org or by telephone at 305-769-5977. Please be advised that volunteers periodically check messages and reply or return calls.

Will we see you there?
A founding member of the Equipaws family, Frankie can mostly be found working behind the scenes, helping co-create online branding, managing several social media accounts, designing brand collateral, writing copy, and managing events. She also fills in for pet sitters and dog walkers when needed in Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, and South Miami. Her own small pack consists of Boots the Shih Tzu mix and Nutmeg the Chiweenie.
