A Miami-native, CatĀ grew up surrounded by animals – two German Shepherds, Gaby and Ariel, plus moreĀ catsĀ than she can count. Her lifelong love of critters naturally turned her into the neighborhood go-to pet sitter for anything furry, feathery, and occasionally scaly. Today, sheās the proud mom of Dolly Barkon, a sweet (and wonderfully neurotic) dachshund, and she regularly fosters young kittens. At the time of writing, her current foster crew includes Sapphire, Little Girl, and Little Boy.
In addition to being part of the Equipaws team,Ā CatĀ is the co-founder and owner of Dade Plant Co., a private nursery specializing in the sale and care of rare, exotic plants from around the world. Before launching Dade Plant Co., she spent 13 years as a science teacher, specializing in Biology and Earth & Space Science, and holds certification in working with students with autism.
Outside of work,Ā CatĀ loves being outdoors with her family, traveling, and getting lost in a good book. Sheās also celebrating a big family milestone: her son, Cameron, is starting at the University of Florida in the fall, making them a proud Gator family!
