Originally from Washington state, Roxanna grew up with pets her whole life. From a small Lhasa Apso to a Giant Saint Bernard, her love for dogs has never wavered. Later on she realized she wanted to pursue a career working with marine animals, so she decided to go to university in Hawai’i where she received her bachelors in Psychology as well as getting her certificate in marine biology. She has traveled to Belize to volunteer with the rescue and rehabilitation of manatees and howler monkeys, and her most favorite was her internship in Clearwater where she got work with the sea turtle rehabilitation department.
Roxanna is currently a wildlife keeper at Miami Seaquarium working in the rescue and rehabilitation of sea turtles and manatees, as well as working with some of the feathered friends. Although she has no pets at this moment, she hopes to adopt a dog in the future. When she is not at work, you can find her at the beach or enjoying a good meal with friends.
